Riccardo Mantelli makes, researches and teaches experimental New Media Art. His projects have been presented internationally at various events in Europe and Asia. Live audiovisual expressions and interfacing with a fasination for glitch-art, video interruption data bending, data oulipo, hertzian space exploration, experimental hardware interfacing, are some of the unstable categories that his work playfully moves through. His research focus on developing an understanding of contemporary New Media practices and find a possible set of connections between virtual and real spaces. Riccardo Mantelli’s body of work, including interactive installations, networked and urban devices, photographs and sculptures, speaks to the relationship between technologies and affectivity, flow that define our time and attempts to create new forms of fiction.
